For many of the psychological problems we encounter, there really is no substitute for seeking help from professionals who are very experienced in dealing with challenges like depression, anxiety, phobias, or self-esteem.
 
However, often people don't feel comfortable taking their problems to a stranger, and would prefer to work through and resolve issues on their own, or with family and friends.
